Today we have at kegger SickOnes, joining us from the back of a car on their way to what should be a sick Northern Weekender. Check out what they're about below. Don't sleep on these guys.

Tell the readers a bit about yourselves. (Names, ages ect.) "Andy - drummer - 6ft9" "Ben - singer - 5ft7" "Charlie - guitarist - 6ft" What kind of music do you play? "Hardcore punk" So out of The Red Line and The VOLITION Ep, which is the favourite you have made? Ben - "They both have their strong points, tracks from both I really enjoy. Sonically and tonally TRL definitely stepped up." Andy - "TRL has some of my favourite drum parts. I also really enjoy the lyrics." Charlie - "I concur, TRL definitely stepped up. Though The Volition EP still has some songs I enjoy playing a lot." Any new music on the way? "Oh yeah, we are about to release a split with American hardcore band Divebomb, expect frantic grooves." "We're also about to release a super limited run of 7'' lathe cuts of The Red Line as part of a collaboration with No Love Records" What musicians inspired you to start making music? Ben - "Dewey Finn, changed my life in 2003." Andy - "I was inspired by all the old legendary classic rock drummers - Bonham, Moon etc and modern names like Dave Grohl and Chris Adler." Charlie - "The Clash, Sepultura, Deftones, Fugazi and oddly a lot of world music. All the local bands who were playing whilst I was growing up also influenced me massively." Is there any music you listened to as a kid you still listen to now? Ben - "System Of A Down - Toxicity" Andy - "Iowa - Slipknot , Ramones - Anthology" Charlie - "At The Drive In - Relationship Of Command" Top 5 albums? Ben - "Toxcity, SOAD. This Couch Is Long, Tiny Moving Parts. Parting The Sea, Touché Amore. First two 7''s, Minor Threat. Gracelands, Paul Simon." Andy - "Walk Among Us, Misfits. In Utero, Nirvana. Chris Stapleton, Traveller. Morphine, Cure For Pain. Alice In Chains, Facelift" Charlie - "White pony, Deftones. Pauls Boutique, Beastie Boys. Repeater, Fugazi. Self Titled, Trash Talk. So Sick Stories, RATKING." Favourite Gig you’ve played? Ben - "PitFest 1 at the brewery." Andy - "KME House Show, sept 2016" Charlie - "yeah PitFest 1 was mad good and the whole line up was made up of friends." What is the favourite track you have made? Ben - "I Don't Exist" Andy - "the new tune Clique Cancer" Charlie - "Exile, or the new stuff that's coming..." Favourite gig you’ve been to? Ben - "Catching Crying's set when they supported The Hotelier" Andy - "secret Foo Fighters show or Fleetwood Mac" Charlie - "NIN & Jane's Addiction or any Trash Talk set." If you had to describe your music to someone who had never heard you before, how would you describe it? Ben - "An angry Earth Wind and Fire" Andy - "Frenetic hardcore punk" Charlie - "3 MCs and no Dj" Is there somewhere the readers can listen to you? All good sources - bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube SICKONES.bandcamp.com

How did the band first start making music? Charlie - "Andy and myself had spent a good 18months aimlessly jamming and getting some basic ideas down, we knew we had something fairly cool but no way of getting it out there. I knew Ben through my brother and the local band scene - he's the ultimate front man he just didn't know it. We asked him to join but he didn't think he could hack the vocals.. Two weeks later after watching a set by Bane he asked if we were still playing and that he was keen. First practice in we were jamming and it came together - Ben's lyrics brought meaning. Back flipping off the sound desk at our first show, we were ready." If you were in a room with Donald Trump and you could tell him something, what would you say? Ben - "A country is more than a business, humans arnt your currency." Andy - "no comment I'm bored of him." Charlie - "you're meant to be the prime cut of the US population, try and act like it." Favourite local band at the moment? Ben - "Rancour" Andy - "Ghost Of The Avalanche" Charlie - "Shattered Youth, Hold Tight & Mannerism" Any gigs coming up? Charlie - "We're currently finishing this interview in the back of a car on our way to Manchester, beginning a Northern weekender. Shout out to Jake Mathews and TD Tours. We have shows in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Worcester as well as a local show with Sham 69." If you had some advice for people just starting up a band what would it be? Ben - "See yourself as joining a community of bands rather than 'trying to make it' alone." Andy - "Agree on a vision, don't be afraid to grow. Study the greats." Charlie - "Make sure you listen to a wide range of music, punk is sick but so is hip hop and jazz etc and embrace mixed bill genres because we're all in it together." Any Merch on the way? "Got a new batch of the S1s dollar tees in circulation - in a camo colour way. Exclusive run so don't sleep." "Got a few ideas in the pipe line too..." Thanks for chatting to us today, anything else you want to say to the readers? Ben - "come talk to us at a show." Andy - "Be Fire, Eat Groove" Charlie - "shout out to Ashlea Bea Photohraphy, Kristie, Bill Trinket, Ollie Mathews at No Love Records and anyone we've connected with in our first year."
